​Passed away surrounded by his family at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane on Monday, December 25, 2023 at the age of 88. He was the son of the Late Joseph & Evadney (nee Etherington) Hookimawillillene. Brother of late Annie Hookimaw, Louise Sackaney, Antoine, Remi & Matthew Hookimawillillene. Even though Moses had no children, Moses treated Stephanie as his daughter. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephew & great nieces and nephews. 

Moses loved playing cards (crib), movie nights, tickets and his Sunday night bingos. He enjoyed playing pool and few could win against him. He enjoyed his Sunday morning services at church. He was also a member of the Fort Albany First Nation.

He will be fondly remembered by all his family and extended family.

Memorial and burial service will be held in the spring of 2024.
