The family of Norman 'Norm' Douglas Burdick is sad to announce his passing on the morning of November 20, 2024 at the Temiskaming Hospital at the age of 78 years.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years Paula Burdick (nee McQuaide), their two sons Andy (Sandy) Burdick, Steve (Sasha) Burdick, his nieces, nephews, his many grandchildren and by many family members.
Norm started his career journey by joining the RCMP (his childhood dream) and was a member of of the K-9 Unit for 10 years. During his stay , he was stationed in BC, Alberta and Manitoba. After his time with the RCMP, Norm decided to return to his roots in Wavell, ON while working as a welder and as a millwright for the Adams Mine and TransCanada Pipeline. Norm built and developed a 160 acre farm where he and Paula spent 30 years raising their family. Norm was a skilled outdoorsman who enjoyed every moment trapping, hunting, fishing or any other reason to be outdoors with his sons, nephews or any one else lucky enough to be in his presence. Norm had a big heart and would always put the needs of others before his own. He volunteered his time for local organizations and was always willing to help someone in need of his many skills. He never hesitated to give his best to them. His presence will be missed by anyone lucky enough to have known him.
