Pierre (Pete) Boucher
April 13, 1971 – August 5, 2021
We have had to say good-bye to our beloved Pete that everyone loved and respected. It is with great sorrow the family announces Pete’s peaceful passing at 6 p.m. on August 5, 2021 at the young age of 50 surrounded by his family. He lost his fight against cancer after being diagnosed with Terminal, Stage 4, Poorly Differentiated Adenocarcinoma 11 months ago. He did not once give up his courageous battle until the end. He fought as long as he could. His heart & mind had a will stronger than life itself to continue on, but his body gave out before his time. It gives the family comfort knowing he is no longer suffering, no longer in pain and is finally at peace. We know he’s having a party with his heavenly buddies Doug Holm & Randy Jansen as they welcomed him with open arms when he passed the heavenly gates with a nice cold Coors Light waiting for him. He leaves behind his spouse Sheri Burns of 30 years, his daughters Britany Burns (Matt), Brooke McCall (Cayleb). He is survived by his dad Fern Boucher of Iroquois Falls, his mom Pauline Boucher (nee Cloutier) of Val Gagne, his brother Dan Boucher of Iroquois Falls and his sister Angele Boucher (Masha) of Toronto. He will be sadly missed by so many other family & friends, there are just far too many to mention. He will be deeply missed by all staff and employees of Ryam Lumber. He missed working with all of you and he truly enjoyed being a supervisor. I know some of you will miss his emails & his humour. He is now our special angel watching over all of us to keep us on a path of positivity and continuously moving forward. A special thanks to Dr. Ross and all the staff and employees at Lady Minto Hospital who were so caring and supportive during our time spent in the beautiful Hospice Suite. We would also like to thank Community Care Access Centre, the VON Nurses and Home & Community Care Support Services Northeast LHINS for all the special care and services we received. Pete did not want anyone to fuss over him therefore, there will not be a viewing or a funeral and he has already been cremated. We will be having a Celebration of Life “BBQ Beer Party” in Pete’s honour at a date to be determined as soon as possible. We will keep you posted as soon as we have set a date. I can tell you it will be on a Saturday and we must still follow Covid rules. Please be sure to respect them for us. Thank you!
