In Loving Memory of
Philip C. Cybolsky
July 6, 1954 – December 10, 2025
Philip Charles Cybolsky died unexpectedly December 10, 2025, at the age of 71.
Phil was a special light in the lives of those who had the privilege of being close to him. His journey on this Earth was one marked by love, and his passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who had a gentle caring heart, a unique sense of humour, and an ability to fix almost anything. A millwright and mechanical supervisor for many years at the Abitibi paper mill, he enjoyed curling, golfing, and hunting in his early years. Then in his later years, he enjoyed winters in Florida, and summers at Nellie Lake spending time with his family and watching his grandkids grow. From working on fun projects in Grampa’s garage, to fishing at the cottage and spending Christmas together (his favourite holiday), so many special memories were made.
Left behind to grieve are his wife Margie of 45 years; his sons Jesse (Anya), Darcy (Carly), and Carson (Sarah); his grandchildren Nova, Eden, Theo, Nikola, Aura, Milo, Loki, Acer, and Ada. He also leaves behind his brother Gord (Fran), sisters-in-law Marion Brown (Doug) and Diane Andress and many nephews and nieces. Dear friends Craig (Sue), Tommy, Eric and many others will also be missing him.
Phil was predeceased by his parents Helen and Bert Cybolsky, and his in-laws Ada, Ned, and Alex Cutten.
We will forever love and remember you—we will stand taller and stronger, knowing you are now watching over us.
Celebration of life will be held next summer.
Donations can be made to a charity of your choice, preferably local.
