Réal Roland Chouinard

January 21, 1943 – February 19, 2020

Réal passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday February 19th, 2020 at the Anson General Hospital in Iroquois Falls, Ontario at the age of 77.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Pierrette Ethier-Chouinard (née St-Amour), his children Rachel Chouinard (Robert Sutherland), Michel (Erin) Chouinard, Roger Chouinard (Carol Lewis), Daniel Ethier (Annie Leblanc), Darren (Nancy) Ethier, Michel (Mel) Ethier, Tammy Ethier (Allan Haresnape), his grandchildren Nicole (Travis), Christopher (Jenny), Jason, Caitlin (Justin), Megan (Chris), Brianne (Michel), Jaden (Montana), Danielle (Greg), Ryan, Heather, Sarah (Damien), Danika, Mélanie, Melissa, Mireille, Émilie (Justin), Alexis, Miguelle, Audrée, Leo, Annabelle, Isabelle and Allan Timothy, his great grandchildren Madison, Mackinley, Barrett, Gibson and Kyson, his siblings Claude (Beverly) Chouinard, Cécile (Rolland) Lachapelle and Edmond (Vera) Chouinard. Réal also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Jeannette Chouinard (née Thomas), his father Émile Chouinard, his mother Marie-Anna Chouinard (née Bélanger), his brothers Fernand (Pierrette) Chouinard and Raymond Chouinard.

Visitations will be held at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 641 deTroyes Avenue, Iroquois Falls on Saturday February 29, 2020 from 11 am to 1:30 pm. The Mass of Christians burial will be held at Sts-Martyrs Canadiens Roman Catholic Church, Iroquois Falls, on Saturday February 29, 2020 at 2 pm followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. The interment will take place at the Abitibi Cemetery in the spring.

Memorial donations may be made to the South Centennial Redevelopment Project (cheques only payable to AGH Foundation) or to the Anson General Hospital and would be greatly appreciated.

Entouré de l’amour de sa famille, Réal est décédé le mercredi 19 février 2020, à l’hôpital Général Anson d’Iroquois Falls, à l’âge de 77 ans.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Pierrette Ethier-Chouinard (née St-Amour), ses enfants Rachel Chouinard (Robert Sutherland), Michel (Erin) Chouinard, Roger Chouinard (Carol Lewis), Daniel Ethier (Annie Leblanc), Darren (Nancy) Ethier, Michel (Mel) Ethier, Tammy Ethier (Allan Haresnape), ses petits-enfants Nicole (Travis), Christopher (Jenny), Jason, Caitlin (Justin), Megan (Chris), Brianne (Michel), Jaden (Montana), Danielle (Greg), Ryan, Heather, Sarah (Damien), Danika, Mélanie, Melissa, Mireille, Émilie (Justin), Alexis, Miguelle, Audrée, Leo, Annabelle, Isabelle et Allan Timothy, ses arrière-petits-enfants Madison, Mackinley, Barrett, Gibson et Kyson, ses frères et sa soeur Claude (Beverly) Chouinard, Cécile (Rolland) Lachapelle et Edmond (Vera) Chouinard. Réal laisse également plusieurs neveux et nièces autres parents et amis. Il est allé rejoindre sa première épouse Jeannette Chouinard (née Thomas), son père Émile Chouinard, sa mère Marie-Anna Chouinard (née Bélanger), et ses frères Fernand (Pierrette) Chouinard et Raymond Chouinard.

La famille accueillera parents et amis au Salon Funéraire Irvine & Irvine 641 Ave deTroyes, Iroquois Falls le samedi 29 février 2020 de 11h à 13h30. Les funérailles suivront à 14h à l’Église Sts-Martyrs Canadiens et une réception aura lieu à la salle de l’Église. L’inhumation aura lieu au printemps au cimetière Abitibi.
