In Loving memory of
Ramie Morin
August 26,1956 – November 4, 2024
Despite eight months of medical care, surgery, and weeks of intensive therapies to regain his health, Ramie passed away November 4, 2024, in the hospice unit of Timmins District Hospital.
Left to mourn his loss are his wife, best friend and fishing partner of 48 years; Linda (nee Vlaad), his sons Trevor (Diane) and Travis (Manon) as well as his grandchildren, Parker, Ethan, and Sydney. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Donna (Larry) porter and Valerie Morin. Ramie was a much loved and special uncle to Kiera (Adam) Gagnon, Kristopher (Tara) Morin, and Kayla Morin (Jeramy Ens) as well as a big-hearted great-uncle to their children: Meadow, Summer, Haley, Ben, and Wes. Ramie was predeceased by his parents Albert and Joanne (nee Crumb), infant sister Rhea, brother Randy, in-laws Orest and Helen Vlaad, and nephew Kraig Porter.
Ramie was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and camping; he was also a “Mr. Fix it”, a community hockey coach, and all-around great guy who loved to spend time with friends and family members.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the medical and nursing staff at Sunnybrook, Anson General Hospital, and TDH for their kindness, support and care shown to Ramie during his lengthy illness, special thanks to the physio and hospice departments.
Visitation will be held at Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home on November 11th from 1 pm and Funeral services will follow at 2:30 pm at the Funeral Home.
Donations in remembrance can be made to Anson General Hospital or to NOAWS (Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society) and would be appreciated by the family. To share your memories of Ramie or send condolences to his family, visit www.irvineandirvinefuneralhome.com
