C’est avec grande tristesse que la famille vous annonce son décès survenu le lundi 9 mars 2026 au manoir Villa Minto de Cochrane, à l’âge de 83 ans.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Line (Charlie) Dumont, Luc Anctil et André (Chantel) Anctil, ses petits-enfants Gage (Angel), Luc Jr., Teeanna (T.J.), Kiefer (Jessica), Makenzie, Jerzee, Charlie Rose et ses arrière-petits-enfants Lila, Geravin-Forest, Sage et Jolene.

René laisse également dans le deuil ses frères et ses sœurs Suzanne Anctil, Lucie Anctil, feu Michel Anctil (Guylaine Leblanc), Normand Campbell (Lyne), Ginette Chabot,  ses beaux-frères et ses belles-sœurs Pierrette (feu Donald) Thisdel, Gaston (Lise-Anne) Noël, Marie-Reine Noël, Réjeanne (Camille) Chabot, Lucille (feu Jean-Gilles) Hébert, André (Linda) Noël, Claude (Monique) Noël, Jean-Gaston Noël et plusieurs nièces, neveux, autre parentés et amis.

Il est allé rejoindre son épouse Dolorès, sa petite-fille Aurora, ses parents Adrien et Marie Louise (née Gagnon) Anctil.

La famille accueillera parents et amis à la Maison funéraire Irvine & Irvine, 70 Seventh Ave South, Cochrane, le vendredi, 13 mars 2026, de 9h30 à 11h.

Les funérailles auront lieu le vendredi, 13 mars 2026 à 11h30 à l’Église de la Transfiguration de Cochrane.

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of René at the Villa Minto nursing home in Cochrane on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the age of 83. He will be missed by his children Line (Charlie) Dumont, Luc Anctil and André (Chantel) Anctil, his grandchildren Gage (Angel), Luc Jr., Teeanna (T.J.), Kiefer (Jessica), Makenzie, Jerzee, Charlie-Rose and his great-grandchildren Lila, Geravin-Forest, Sage and Jolene.

René also leaves in mourning his siblings Suzanne Anctil, Lucie Anctil, late Michel Anctil (Guylaine Leblanc), Normand Campbell (Lyne) and Ginette Chabot and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Pierrette (late Donald) Thisdel, Gaston (Lise-Anne) Noël, Marie-Reine Noël, Réjeanne (Camille) Chabot, Lucille (late Jean-Gilles) Hébert, André (Linda) Noël, Claude (Monique) Noël, Jean-Gaston Noël,. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Predeceased by his wife Dolorès, his grand-daughter Aurora, his parents Adrien and Marie Louise (nee Gagnon) Anctil.

Visitations will be held at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 70 seventh Avenue South, Cochrane on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 9:30 am to 11 am. 

The Funeral Service will follow on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:30 am at the Transfiguration Church of Cochrane.
