Mr. Richard R. Moore

February 9, 1941 – April 4, 2020

It is with sadness that the family of Richard R. Moore announces his death on Saturday April 4, 2020, at the age of 79.  Richard died peacefully at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane.  He is survived by his wife Janet, his children Brendan (Roger), Kathryn, Jennifer (Phillip), and Kevin (Jennifer), his sister Janet, and eight grandchildren.  They will miss their Pappy. 

Richard was very involved in his church and his community.  He was a teacher for 35 years, enjoyed volunteering and was a member of many service clubs.  

He loved the outdoors enjoying camping, fishing and canoeing.  The perfect spot really was “Just around the next bend.”  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Cochrane, or a charity of your choice (donations payable by cheques only and can be mailed to 149 Third Street West, Cochrane, Ontario, P0L 1C0).

A Grave-side service will be held for Richard R. Moore on Saturday August 22nd, 2020 at 10:30 am at Hillcrest Cemetery in Matheson. To reach the Cemetery, turn right at the intersection of Highway 11 & 4th Avenue and proceed straight on 4th Avenue up the hills.
