March 11th, 1944 – May 31st, 2020

In loving memory of a son, brother, husband, father friend, uncle, grandpa and pharmacist who passed away peacefully in Cochrane on Sunday May 31st, 2020 at the age of 76. 

Married for 52 years to the love of his life Maureen Konopelky (nee Bray), they shared a lifetime of memories with their four daughters: Cheryl (Todd) Goldin; Sue-Ann (Shawn); Karin (Glen) Keleher; Catherine (Earl). Grandchildren: Colton and Curtis Goldin; Emma and Molly Finn; Lucy and Owen Keleher. Siblings: Predeceased by brother Roger; Survived by: Michael (Joanne); Laura Ann (David) McIntyre; Dianne (Richard) McDonald; Tim (Wendy). Sister-in-laws: Margaret Konopelky, Elaine Ettinger, Brenda Corrigan, Sandra Pacquette, Lynne Bray, Edna Bray, Lorraine Bray. Brother-in-laws: Neil Bray, Darcy Pacquette, Gary Bray. Predeceased by Gordon Ettinger and Hubert Bray. And many nieces and nephews.

Robert "Bob" was a devoted family man and loved his family unconditionally. He loved helping people from the community of Cochrane where he was born and raised. He spent countless hours telling stories and sharing wisdom. The love and memories we hold for him will live on infinitely in our hearts…

Visitations by appointments only will be held at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 149 Third Street West, Cochrane, Ontario on Friday June 5th, 2020 between the hours of 10 am & 5 pm followed by cremation and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated when Covid-19 restrictions are resolved.

As a gesture of respect to Mr. Konopelky, we invite people to join the funeral procession leaving the funeral home at 5 pm on Friday June 5th, 2020 for his final farewell around town we will depart the funeral home going by Railway Street, left on 6th, Avenue, right on 5th, Street, right on 11th, Avenue back to Railway Street to make a loop around Commando Lake. However everyone must remain in their car at all time. No gathering on the street is permitted. If you prefer to stand along the procession route to send your respects and your affection to his family as we drive by.

The visitations are by appointments only, to set an appointment please email irvineandirvinefuneralhome@gmail.com first come first served;

No line up outside the funeral home is permitted, people must wait in their vehicle for specific visitation time;

The visitation suite is set up to have enough space for proper distancing and hand sanitizer will be provided. The wearing of a mask by everyone in the funeral home during visitations is recommended;

Once guests had their opportunity we ask them to exit the funeral home and visiting time shall not exceed 15 minutes;

No memorial donations nor Mass will be accepted in person at the funeral home;

No food nor beverage services will be provided;

Washrooms will not be accessible;
