With heavy hearts, the family of Robert John Alistair Roper announce his passing at his home in Iroquois Falls on April 12th, 2026. Bob was born on September 23, 1947, in Britannia Beach, British Columbia. His life took him on many journeys, allowing him to live and experience life in many different places.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Lorl, and his three children: Trevor (Natalie), Graeme (Sarah), and Leigh (Andrew). Bob was a proud Papa to his four grandchildren—Aaron, Jackson, Isla, and Niall—whom he loved dearly and took great joy in watching grow.
He is also survived by his two sisters, Jacqueline and Margaret, whom he affectionately called Marg and J.
Bob felt especially fortunate to spend his retirement summers at the family cottage on Hawkeye Lake. It was there he could happily putter the days away, then relax on the deck, enjoying the water and the company of friends and family. The family will have a private memorial later.
