It is with great sadness that the Brunette family announces the passing of their sibling Rocky. Rocky is predeceased by his parents Daisy and Wilfred Brunette, two infant siblings, Cecile and Keith, and a nephew Trevor Tonkin. Rocky will be missed by his fourteen living siblings: John Brunette (Rose), Russell Brunette, Joseph (Skip) Brunette, Sally Chapleau, Celina Stephens (Glen), Shirley Tonkin (Mike), Bruce Brunette (Bernice), Lulabelle Churcher (Tom), Rickey Brunette, Roy Brunette (Gisele), Doreen Pichette, Pernell Brunette (Christine), Sammy Brunette, Marcia Brunette (Ryan), many nieces and nephews, and his furbabies, Dippie and Babies.
Rocky also affectionately known as “The Rock” is remembered as a humble man with a solid character. An independent person and deep thinker with a huge heart and never ending love for animals and good music. While Rocky never married or had children of his own, his life was filled with everlasting love of a huge family with many nephews, nieces and furbabies. His nephew Brian Churcher was by his side until his final hours. Rocky was drawn to all animals especially cats. He was skilled and loved rebuilding and remodeling vintage cars with his brothers. Rocky will be dearly missed by many.
There will be no funeral service, however a celebration of Rocky’s life will follow on his birthday in August. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Cancer Society or an animal shelter is appreciated.
