Roland ”Rolly” Giroux

September 5th,1946 - March 9th, 2020

It is with great sadness that his family announces the unexpected death of Roland on March 9th, 2020 at the Anson General Hospital in Iroquois Falls at the age of 73. He was the son of the late Roland Giroux (1962) and late Jelte (Nellie) Giroux (2012). He is survived by his wife Betty Caspillan, children Roland (Nancy), Shawn (Lana) and Karen (Evan Colameco), step-children Ryan, Raymond, Bridgitte and Mariejo Karen, his grandchildren Sara Giroux (Sebastien Belanger), Bailey Giroux (Andrea Carriere), Brendan Moreau, Shawna Giroux (Braden Knutsen), Anne Giroux (Jesse Poirier), Caleb Moreau (Tymber Lytle), Aleigha Giroux, Robyn, Jenna Tessier, Rylan Malong, Koby Malong and Leo Perkin, his great grandchildren Ellie and Walter Moreau. He was the brother of Abraham Giroux and the late Donald Giroux (1981). He will also be sadly missed by his special friend Susan Keskinen, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the paramedics and staff at the Anson General Emergency Room for all their care and support.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Abitibi Cemetery in Iroquois Falls on Monday June 29, 2020 at 2 pm. Memorial donations can be made to the Iroquois Falls Canadian Royal Legion Branch 70 or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
