Ronald " Ron " Robin

Ron passed away surrounded by his family at the age of 86 at the Val d'Or hospital. Son of the late Gerard and Simone (nee Lacasse). Predeceased: Jacqueline (Kathy) Robin, June Ducharmes, his brothers Serge, Laurent and grandson T.J. Robin.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Nicole (nee Simoneau), his 5 sons Joey (Tina), Ronald Jr. (Christine), Paul (Pauline), Allain, Steve (Melody), his grandchildren Jennifer, Christopher, Joshawa (Mary), Jessica (Mike), Nicholas, Lisa, Joel, Bailey, Seth, Alex, Jacqueline, Caelon and his great-grandchildren Gavin, Daylin, John, Waylon, Harry, Ben, Jack and Will.
He also leaves behind his brothers Nelson, Richard and Yvan and his sisters Gisele, Celine and many nephews and nieces.
Ron was born in Notre Dame du Rosaire, QC. He moved to Ontario to work in road construction, then worked at the Ford truck plant in Oakville where he acquired his autobody and collision skills. Ron moved to northern Ontario to work in the forest industry as a skidder operator. Then moved to Cochrane and established Cochrane Collision in 1980 until he retired in 2000. he sold the business to Paul who still operates the business today.
Ron moved to Val d'Or, QC with his wife Nicole and enjoyed his retirement. Ron's greatest hobby was snowmobiling with his many friends from Cochrane and Quebec. Ron was of good nature and had a distinguish laugh that will never be forgotten.
With respect of Ron's wishes, there will be no funeral and he will be laid to rest at the Catholic cemetery in Cochrane at a later date.
