SUSAN RINTAMAKI-GAGAIN
February 18, 1948 - November 9, 2024

Sue is also survived by stepchildren Debbie Forget (Moe), Sheri Lacasse, Ricky Gagain (Jenafer), and Gary Gagain (Nicole) as well as her sister and brother in-laws Carole Rintamaki (Michael), Sandra Morrissette (Fern), Terry Gagain (Shirley), and Tim Gagain (Kathy).
Sue will be very deeply missed by the apple of her eye... Lindsay Paradis as well as nieces Michelle Dagenais (Dan), Sherry Dagenais (Dale), Melanie Tycoles (Mike), Senja Rintamaki, Saija Rintamaki (Stew) and nephew Nicholas Skrtic (Samantha - Syd and Jake).
Susan had a long and distinguished nursing career of over 40 years working at both St.Mary's and Timmins and District Hospital where her nursing roles included: ICU Nurse; later manager, and finishing her career as an Emergency Care Nurse.
Sue's compassion and caring for people far surpassed her career. She was the Matriarch of our family; a force of strength that was unstoppable. If one of us was in trouble, Sue never worried about the outcome or herself, she just always did what needed to be done in order to fix it.
When Sue wasn't busy being our Super-Woman, she loved her coffee with "creamer", popcorn and cheezies - admittedly occasionally for supper! Playing scrabble, watching Bill Maher and going fishing. Did I mention Sue loved to fish??? Oh and one more thing...Sue LOVED fishing !!!
Sue was so many things to us; but in short...she was "our Suzie".
With very special thanks to Timmins & District Hospital Staff, you gave Sue the kind of care she was so deserving of. For that, we are eternally grateful. Dr. Loreto (her knight in shining armour), Dr. M. Ciccone, Dr. Beauvais, Dr. Schwertfeger and Dr. Labelle. ER Nurse: Vanessa, ICU Nurses: Rachel, Sushilla, Mashid and Taylor. Hospice Nurses: Allie and Pam.
We will continue to celebrate your life in all that we do Suzie. Your presence we will miss, your memory we will treasure, loving you ALWAYS, forgetting you NEVER.
At her request an informal memorial gathering will be held in the spring.
