Virgilio Zardo

June 23, 1944 – January 23, 2024

"The family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Virgilio (Virgi) Zardo at the age of 79 years at the South Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls, Ontario on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. 

Virgi was the youngest son of Giovanni and Ermenegilda (Tessaro) Zardo (both deceased).  He was the brother of Iris (Bernie Donovan) both deceased); Ledia (Ron Andrews) both deceased; Irde (Rudy Papagno) both deceased; Frank, deceased and Andrew (Judith, deceased).  Virgi leaves behind a very large family of nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces who will miss him dearly. 

Virgi was a twenty-year resident at the South Centennial Manor where he made many friendships with his fellow residents and the caring and diligent staff.  He especially enjoyed the camaraderie of the Manor’s family community.  Thank you to all who showed kindness, thoughtfulness, and love to our Virgi."

The funeral will be Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. 

St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Iroquois Falls. 

Followed by burial at the Tisdale Cemetery.
