William Richard Blackwell

July 12, 1939 – October 26, 2025

With great sorrow the Blackwell family announces the passing of Bill in Sudbury on Sunday October 26th, 2025 at the age of 86. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Cecile (nee Gervais), his children Daniel (Venus) Blackwell, Mark, Robert, Carey (Amanda), Anne (Richard) Peele, Marilyn Niemi and Linda Biglow, his grandchildren Amber, Jordan, Genivieve, Craig, Timothy, Carey, Olivia, Emma, Dakota, Robert, Cierra, Alan, Jonathan, Shana, Sarah, Derrick, Jason, Elise, Tiffany and Justin, his numerous great grandkids, his brother Thomas (Rita) Blackwell, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Cecil Irwir Blackwell, his mother Louise Blackwell (nee Vickory), his brothers Reginald (Kay), Stanley, John (Diana) and his sister Cecile.

Visitation will be held at Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Ave South Cochrane, on Wednesday October 29, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm and Thursday October 30, 2025 starting at 11am. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1 pm at the Funeral Home and the interment will take place at the Birchill Cemetery in Brower.

If desired, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Birchill Cemetery and would be greatly appreciated
