Mr. William “Bill” Heavener
April 19, 1942 – November 22, 2025

It is with an extremely heavy heart that the family announces the passing of “Bill” on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane at the age of 83.

He leaves in mourning his wife Ardelle (nee Yanta) of 58 years, his children Vivian (Ghislain) Lagacé, Kevin (Kelly nee Brooks) Heavener and Kelly (Jeff) Heavener-Fahey, his beloved grandchildren Craig Lagacé (Paulina Siller Luna), Ryan Lagacé (Julie Comé), Isabelle Heavener, Taylor Heavener (Nico Génier), Cole Heavener, Katelin Rickard, Aaron Rickard and his great grand children Emilia Maria Lagacé-Siller, Marrissa Anne Lagacé-Siller and T.J. Kioke.

Bill also leaves behind his sister Lavender Cummins and will be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Charles Harvey and Haidee Jane (nee Bestall) Heavener and his brothers Digbey Heavener and David Heavener.

Family will receive friends at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 70 Seventh Ave. South, Cochrane on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 starting at 9:30 am to 11 am.

A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11 am in the Irvine & Irvine funeral home chapel.
