Yvon Viau

In loving memory of
Mr. Yvon Viau
September 23, 1955 – June 3, 2025

The family is saddened to announce the passing of Yvon on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Health Sciences North hospital in Sudbury at the age of 69.

He will be greatly missed by his children Tanya Viau (Pierre Robin) with their children Fayth Viau , Donovan Viau (Jordan Chedore), Natasha Viau (David Arseneault) with their children Nathan Arseneault, Zach Arseneault (Mackie Loates), his spouse Diane (nee Chapleau) Girard with her children Chantal (Chad) Calaiezzi with their children Leia and Avery Calaiezzi, Keith Girard ( Jessica Côté-Girard) with their children Bentley and Aviel Girard, Kaela Girard (Daniel Nobert) with their children Easton and Kinsley Nobert.

Yvon was the brother of Léon (Margo) Viau, Luc Viau (Sherry Cornish), Helen Viau, Serge Viau (Angela) and his sister-in-law Rosa Debastos-Viau.

He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.

Predeceased by his first wife Deborah Viau (nee Chabot) on December 8, 1996, his parents Delphis and Thérèse (nee Côté) Viau and his brothers Ronald Viau and Julien Viau. 

In respecting his wishes, there will be a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
